Siesta Key is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico. Siesta Key Beach is ranked #1 beach in the USA (several years), and is well known for the beautiful white, fine, quartz sand (yes, it's 99% quartz!), that stays cool year round. The beach area includes a sun deck, an elevated concession stand with beautiful views, playground, beach volleyball and a few steps across the almost 1000 car parking lot, you will find tennis courts. This beautiful beach also hosts the renowned Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition, which will be held this year, November 10-13.
The village has plenty of outdoor dining restaurants, bars and shopping, making it a favorite for residents and visitors.
